Summer 2023 Update
The summer has consisted of lots of travel, education, and diving! We have met so many new people and have continued to expand our outreach programs. Outreach and education is just as important as all the science that we do, and that is why we have focused on disseminating the work we do to other scientists, students, educators, and the general public this summer. We have had an incredibly busy start to the year! After opening back up to the public in 2022 and starting some research and projects in the Florida Keys, we are looking to build upon all of this in 2023. Although it was the month of spooks and haunts, we did not hear the Jaws theme song playing each time we saw a shark! Instead, we actually got to see them closer than we have this whole year because the Shark Lab got to go do some research in Florida. Read more about it below!
