WHAT

Our tours include a presentation on our history and research, a short shark workup demonstration, and when possible, the chance to see some juvenile lemon sharks in their natural environment. 

WHEN 

Tours are carried out most days around low tide. Timings vary and will depend on research schedule, tidal cycle and availability. We do not carry out tours every day, and our schedule is available up to one week in advance. If you are visiting Bimini in a few months time, please check for our tour dates about a week before. If you don't see any options available, you can email outreach@biminisharklab.com, but it may mean we are not offering any tours at that time.

The Station will NOT be available for tours during these times: 

January 21 - 26  - No Tours Available

February 1 - March 1  - LIMITED TOURS Available

March 9 - 31  - No Tours Available

April 5 - 15  - No Tours Available

May 6 - 13  - No Tours Available

WHERE

The Bimini Biological Field Station Foundation 'Shark Lab' is located on South Bimini, Bahamas and can be reached via boat or road. If you are visiting from North Bimini you can catch a taxi from the ferry dock on the South island to the station. Both water and land taxis can be hailed on VHF 68. See the map on our Contact page.
