Our experts work using digital technology to design, create and build a range of online products for our clients, including - websites, web development, search engine optimisation, social media management, email marketing and apps. At the heart of all of these services we create a successful road map called a 'Digital Strategy'. Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation
We would like to thank Guy Harvey and his Ocean Foundation for their support. Their generous grant earlier this year has helped to fund various projects here in Bimini. Our annual PIT project, monthly longline, as well as our PhD students' research have all benefited enormously from the vital equipment that we have been able to purchase through this grant.
Here at the Shark Lab it is important for us to find ways to share our scientific findings with the community and public. This has been made much easier with the donation of 1,000's of brochures, newsletters, & business cards from Elite Flyers!
At the Sharklab we rely heavily on our boats and put them through a lot of hard work. We could not continue if not for the generous support of API Marine, who have been providing for the marine and industrial electrical aftermarket since 1963.
Aftco president Bill Shedd has very generously supplied tailors to our shark team. We use these to get large sharks under control alongside the vessel. Thank you
Wally Bell of Composite Research & Sundance Boats, has graciously supplied a fleet of flat bottom and bay boats. These vessels, which include four 16" and two 17" skiffs, as well as two 20" bay hybrid boats are our work horses here at the lab, and we couldn't be happier to have an entire fleet of eight research vessels supplied by Wally Bell & Sundance Boats!
Since the donation of the skiffs in 2008, we continue to be amazed at the craftsmanship and durability of Sundance boats. The two additional 20" boats donated in 2012 have become the firm favorites for the staff. These are perfect hybrid vessels for the shallow waters around Bimini as well for working up huge sharks offshore in the Gulf Stream!
Davey Marine Center Inc.
Davey Marine Center has been instrumental in keeping our vessels on the water. Davey supplied the Prolines and our old Aquasport to BBFS. Mercury Marine, through Davey Marine, continues to provide replacement outboard engines on a regular basis. Davey is always quick to install these new engines and continually supports our programs so that we can get back out on the water and do the things we do. A huge THANK YOU goes out to Mario Aiello from Davey.
BBFS could not carry out our daily research activities if it were not for the generous support of Mercury Marine. Our full fleet of research vessels are powered by Mercury outboard engines ranging in size from 40HP all the way up to twin 115HP.
Mercury has been an important part of the Sharklab since it's inception and has supported Dr. Gruber's research since the 1980s.
Dr Manuela Menendez
Dr Manuela Menendez kindly donated an SUV to the Bimini Biological Field Station Foundation. This donation is crucial to much of the research we carry out and we hope to be able to keep this vehicle running long into the future.
